Inside Sales Representatives


Aegis Power Systems, Inc. is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to join our growing team in the beautiful mountains of NC! This position is a key contributor in supporting our sales team by identifying new prospects, following up on leads, responding to inquiries, providing quotes, completing necessary sales-related documentation, and similar tasks related to advancing electronics hardware sales opportunities through the sales cycle.

The Inside Sales Representative should excel at written and verbal methods of communication. They should also enjoy being in a customer facing role and feel comfortable regularly engaging customers at all stages of the sales cycle - ranging from early stages where customers have no knowledge of our product offerings to latter stages where long-time customers make recurring purchases. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment is key as is the ability to push several tasks to completion at once.

The ideal candidate should have familiarity with electronics hardware manufacturing and have the capability to excel in the sales of AC/DC power supplies, DC/DC converters, and other power electronics related products.  Experience related to defense systems, data/telecommunications, embedded computing, and/or aircraft systems is of high value. Cross-team collaboration skills are imperative as the candidate will be working with engineering, manufacturing, marketing, and support departments.


Duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Qualify leads and basic sales inquiries via phone and email
  • Identify key customer needs and recommend possible standard products or relay gathered information to other members of sales team
  • Provide quotes and follow-up on existing quotes
  • Prospect for new customers and opportunities via outbound calls, emails, and other methods
  • Assist outside sales team members with gaining in-person and virtual customer appointments
  • Provide administrative support for sales and customer service tasks
  • Complete transactional customer paperwork and navigate customer portals as necessary
  • Regularly report sales activities via CRM software
  • Review forecast and business outcomes with Sales Manager
  • Achieve sales targets
  • Work collaboratively with other sales team members while supporting regular team communication via email, phone, and CRM software
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3 years successful B2B inside sales or related sales experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or similar technical field (may be waived with extensive work experience)
  • Working knowledge of electronics and power supply related parameters/specs
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Able to utilize CRM system for lead tracking, quoting, reporting, and team collaboration
  • Excellent written and oral English communication skills
  • Proven team player with an ability to successfully drive multiple tasks to completion simultaneously
  • Must have high ethical standards and be honest, dependable, able to react well under pressure, and respectful of others.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors’ degree in Electrical Engineering or similar technical field
  • Working knowledge of standard defense industry practices
  • Able to understand interpret power supply specification sheets
