Research Efforts for the US Army — Aegis Power Systems Wins SBIR Award for Inverters

US Army SBIR Awards Aegis Power Systems New R&D Grant for High Density Inverter

The US Army has selected Aegis Power Systems to develop a high-power high-density inverter solution to support the Hybrid Electric Powertrain, Power, and Propulsion Systems (HEPPS) program. This initial ruggedization and characterization study will be used to lay the groundwork for a competitive and energy-dense product to increase onboard electrical power, reduce thermal signature, and support silent operations in austere environments. This is the company’s fifth winning Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant proposal, all focused on supporting the energy resiliency of the US military.
